GINA PERIER
CEO of Lapee
Gina is the french co-founder and CEO of a company which designed and developed the world’s first industrialized female urinal for outdoor events: Lapee.
After working as an architect and city planner for Roskilde Festival, her and her co-founder pointed out a major gender inequality: there are no peeing facilities for women.
They realized that for decades, women did not have the simple right to urinate in public spaces, whereas it has never been a problem for men. At outdoor events such as festivals, marathons or carnivals, the problem is obvious. Wherever there is a need of urinal observed (whenever toilets are pressured), there should be urinals, for women as well.
Lapee provides a more efficient solution than the toilets with endless lines for women. Lapee is also beneficial for catastrophic areas and refugee camps.
Today Lapee is being produces and will serve all the major outdoor events of Denmark this summer.
